Announced at the Senjo Grading last week, Sempai Lars Eriksson was awarded the right to wear a Bushidō Cross. This morning we took the opportunity to present Sempai Lars with his pendant which is a visible recognition of his dedication to the Anderson Bushi Kai family. We welcome Lars to the Bushidō brotherhood of male Black Belts, which runs in parallel with the Ishoa sisterhood of female Black Belts. With deep respect,Kaichō Glen 🙏🏻

On Saturday we took a few moments at the end of class to recognise and reward one of our most loyal and hardworking students - Lars Eriksson - with the title of Sempai (Mentor). Lars would have to me our most consistent student. He’s shown true leadership qualities: consistent dedication to being on the floor, dedicated to training, support to his fellow students, willingness to take on responsibility, and awareness of safety risks. These alone would qualify him for the award, but taken in the context of facing the challenges of finance, and taking care of a spouse with chronic health issues; it makes him stand out from the crowd.
